Hi, it’s nice to meet you.

My name is Aysha Allahverdiyeva. I was born in Turkey and raised in Azerbaijan. I moved to Rhode Island in 2020, and graduate from Brown University four short years later with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Neuroscience and a Certificate in Data Fluency. Outside of these fields I took classes in Computer Science, Anthropology, and English Literature. Now, I am completing a Master of Science in Data Science on the biomedical track at NYU!

I’ve had an interest in healthcare for as long as I can remember, while my ideal job had often switched from doctor to scientist to professor to biomedical engineer, I found that data science is where my interests, skills, and ambitions to make change align.

I'm passionate about leveraging biomedical research and real-world data to enhance healthcare accessibility and equity. My ambitions are rooted in advancing precision medicine initiatives and expanding access to care, ultimately enhancing health outcomes for diverse patient populations populations.

When I’m not coding or learning at my laptop, you can find me working on my watercolor and ink drawings, playing soccer in the park, or making the most of my AMC pass at the movie theatre.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out, whether it’s about data science or anything else!

My Professional Timeline

A little context for the work I have done thus far, from researching and introducing the implementation of the first ever art therapy program in Azerbaijan, to wearing many hats at a music analytics start-up. I've been fortunate to work in environments ranging from intimate teams of three to expansive international corporations. Each experience has uniquely shaped my perspective and skills, and I eagerly anticipate the new opportunities that lie ahead.
